WHY BLUE APE?
Blue comes from the company’s sustainable philosophy. Sustainability is the key driver of Blue Ape and serves as a cornerstone of any and all businesses the company designs, develops and invests in.
Ape is all about going back to our primary ways of living and rethinking our ideas and behaviors towards expected financial and economic outcomes. We believe that in order to have real sustainable businesses, we should reconsider the drive of our entrepreneurial initiatives. Instead of targeting at making money and having ecological, social and economic contingencies, companies should focus on making money from solving such problems and having them as core values of their business. It’s a paradigm shift. It’s not about doing business despite sustainability; it’s about having sustainability as a business.

we ideate, test and prototype ideas of new business with sustainability as its core. We use sustainability challenges, such as reduction on plastic use and social inclusion, to build our business ideas around.
through an innovation perspective, we support companies with ongoing businesses to include sustainability at the core of their activities. In different levels, from business model to process review, we strive to include in companies’ routines aspects of sustainability in economic, social and environmental areas.

WHO WE ARE
Business designer and entrepreneur. After 10 years of executive experience in capital- and knowledge-intensive industries, such as Oil & Gas, banking and Telecommunications, Gustavo started his journey as entrepreneur and business designer, investing and managing several start-ups in different fields, from web-portals to FMCG.
Gustavo has a Bachelor Business Degree from Universidade Federal Fluminense, Brazil, an MBA from IBMEC-RJ, Brazil, and a Masters’ degree in Management of Innovation from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, The Netherlands.
